The Salvation Army forms part of the Christian church and boasts an extensive social remit, providing a range of social and community services, including services for children and the elderly, those trapped in modern-day slavery, homeless people, individuals struggling with addiction, and people seeking employment.

 

As part of our Homelessness Services portfolio, The Salvation Army provides support and accommodation across two services for 41 adults who are experiencing homelessness within the Skegness area.

The role of Facilities and Administration Manager is crucial to the effective leadership of our services in Skegness, providing leadership around the Housing Management and administration aspects of service delivery.

You will ensure there is a strong focus on customer service and be jointly responsible for ensuring our vision for high-quality support services is delivered to everyone who comes into contact with us.

You will also play a key part in the management team of the service, supervising staff, providing on-call support as a duty manager, developing risk assessments, updating records and ensuring compliance across all health and safety aspects of our two services.

We are looking for someone who can bring:

  • Experience in facilities or administration management, including workplace health and safety
  • Confident people-management skills, with the ability to support and develop a varied team
  • Experience of financial processes, budget monitoring and maintaining accurate records
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to work with a range of stakeholders
  • Strong organisation, attention to detail and confidence using Microsoft Office and database systems
  • A compassionate, respectful and flexible approach, aligned with The Salvation Army's mission and values
  • Ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service including shifts, evenings and occasional weekend
